The Dallas Cowboys reinforce their secondary with a new addition. Dallas signs cornerback Cobie Durant to a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million after he spent the first four seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Rams . The move comes after a difficult season for the Cowboys’ defense when it came to takeaways. Dallas finished the entire 2025 season with just six interceptions. Durant alone recorded three interceptions last year while playing in all 17 games and starting 15 for the Rams. That means the Cowboys’ newest cornerback produced half as many interceptions by himself as Dallas’ entire defense did in 2025. Now Durant arrives in Dallas with the opportunity to help change that. If the Cowboys are looking to create more turnovers in 2026, they just added a corner who already showed he can deliver them.
