Hugh passed away at age 6 in 2021 from a rare cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma, and the shoes were the pair he wore to the hospital. Ceri also ran the Paris Marathon earlier in April with the same shoes, covering more than 56 miles total. He and his wife started a charity called “It’s Never You” and are raising money in Hugh’s memory.
