The Green Dot Ball initiative has led to the planting of over 6 lakh tree saplings across Assam, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh.
First piloted during the Tata IPL Playoffs and Finals in 2023 and 2024, the initiative planted 500 tree saplings for each dot ball in 4 matches for each of the seasons.
It was extended to the entire Tata IPL season in 2025. Across 74 matches, the initiative planted 18 tree saplings for each dot ball in 2025 to mark the 18th edition of the tournament.
The initiative was also part of the Tata WPL 2024 & 2025 editions. It continues to flourish in the 2026 editions of both Tata WPL and Tata IPL.
