Boston is going all out for America’s 250th birthday.
The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular returns to the Charles River Esplanade on Saturday, July 4, and organizers say this will be the biggest celebration in the event’s 52-year history.
The free concert features Lainey Wilson, Chance the Rapper, Trombone Shorty, Megan Hilty and the Boston Pops, plus a revolutionary-themed drone show, the largest fireworks display ever produced for the event, and two world-premiere musical performances created especially for the historic celebration.
The concert runs from 7:00 to 9:30pm, with fireworks beginning at 9:15pm over the Charles River.
